I have twice with Denali National Park. Recently I visited the park during a trip to Alaska in July 2006. It is a beautiful park and well worth a visit at least two days to search, depending on the type of activity that you take. If you are hiking / camping backpack, you can easily a few days to a week or a little later. Most visitors are part of a tour of Alaska and spend a few hours a day, it can complete. Visitors who have less than a day is limited to a short trip along the Denali Park Road on the north side of the park.
ReplyDeleteNo private vehicles are allowed in Denali Park Road across the river wild. The only way to see the park is a tour operator business. Those who make only a few hours to walk the short walk in the park, so far, Savage River. You may not know, but who have not seen the park for all and probably not either a wilderness. To see Denali must take a longer trip. I recommend the Desert Kantishna Trails tour. This tour goes until the end of Kantishna at the end of the park, road and takes about 13 hours from hotel pickup to drop-off. You can also use the shuttle fleet, which again directly at any point along the route of the park for hiking / do by yourself further. There is plenty of wildlife to see, especially from the river and the Teklanika Eielson Visitor Center.
To really the beauty of Denali is located on the south side. The aircraft is. These tours fly from Talkeetna. The way I managed my visit to Denali drove from Anchorage to Talkeetna for a day trip in mid-round flights with K2 Aviation. From there I went to Healy, I have found in North Haven Motel, which proved an excellent choice remained. It lies about 10 miles north of the entrance of the park, but the service andThe rooms are almost as good as you can go to a motel. I definitely would stay there again and recommend it. I spent two nights in Healy, and after a day in the middle of the desert routes Kantishna the series. Motel Nord Haven is not removed from the list of collection points from the hotel, but there was no problem. I went to a hotel that stood on the list and were collected, and it left.
If I do it again I would spend a minimum of 3 nights Healy and the use of the extra day in the park to explore on my account with the shuttle bus to the parking lot. I look forward to seeing Denali in Alaska and others. It is beautiful country, very different from the other 49 states. Obviously, not trite, but Alaska is not only a goal, it is an experience. Enjoy!
